SPS Conferences' sister company is The European Pension Fund Investment Forum (EPFIF)

The European Pension Fund Investment Forum (EPFIF) is the premier investment forum in Europe for the exchange of information amongst pension fund managers, their advisors and other investment professionals. It provides an objective and rigorous forum for lively discussion, promotes the discussion of new investment ideas and reviews topics of current interest. The Forum currently comprises seven Divisions meeting regularly to discuss current relevant issues. Together, the divisions of the Forum have held a total of over 573 meetings. The overall assets of pension fund members of the Forum currently amount to over 2000 billion Euros. The purpose of The European Pension Fund Investment Forum is to improve the quality of information available to pension fund managers and trustees leading to the development of more relevant and efficient management, a better understanding of investment processes and, eventually, improved performance. This is achieved by holding lectures, discussions, debates, and other activities.

Each of the seven Divisions of the Forum is administered with advice from an elected Advisory Committee which comprises pension fund or trustee representatives from major pension funds located in the region.

The UK Pension Fund Investment Forum
Started in September 1994, and meeting monthly, has held over 207 meetings. It has 136 pension fund members with assets of approximately £540 billion and 41 members from other parts of the pensions and investment community.

The Benelux Division
Started in October 1995, with meetings every other month in the Netherlands and, from 1998, twice a year in Belgium, has held over 109 meetings. It has over 115 pension fund members and 30 members from other parts of the pensions and investment community.

The Nordic Division
Started  in November 1996, with five meetings a year in the regions main cities including Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm, has held over 74 meetings.  It has over 120 members drawn from pension funds, foundations and insurance companies and 24 members from other parts of the pensions and investment community.

The Money Purchase Pensions Forum
Started in September 1997, with meetings every other month, has held over 87 meetings. It has 127 pension fund members and 18 members from other parts of the pensions and investment community.

The Pension Trustees Circle
Started in July 1999, with two meetings a year, has now met 26 times. It has 141 senior pension fund trustees with 25 representatives from other parts of the pensions and investment community.

The Southern Africa Pension Fund Investment Forum
Started in October 2006, has now held 16 meetings in Sandton and Cape Town, South Africa and in Windhoek, Nambia.. It holds three meetings a year in the region.

The Swiss International Division
Started in June 2002 and has held over 38 meetings. It holds four meetings a year in leading centres including Zurich and Bern.

The European Pension Fund Investment Forum International Seminar
In addition to the above, from September 1996 an International Seminar has been held annually in Europe with members invited from all over Europe (and more recently Africa). There have now been 16 meetings.

The Pensions Investment Academy

The Pension Investment Academy (PIA) is a joint venture between Specialist Pension Services Limited (SPS) and Westminster Business School (WBS). The purpose of the PIA is to run seminars, which will be at the cutting edge of pension fund thought. It is designed for pension scheme trustees and executives who already have a base level of knowledge.

The first meeting took place on 28 September 2010 at Westminster Business School and foucsed on The Economy and its Impact on Pension Funding.
