Impact Investing is a rapidly-evolving field - so how do you measure impact?
There is, at present, little standardisation in the way that companies report on the impact they are having on society or the environment. This presentation explains why transparency is critical and how it can be made clear to clients what is being invested in and how to measure the positive impact the companies in their portfolio are having on the world

Renewable Energy - Powering your Returns
Many clients want their investments to make a difference to the world as well as deliver attractive financial returns. These environmental concerns have driven significant policy changes in recent years which, along with technological progress, have delivered a proliferation of investment opportunities and the prospect of attractive returns. In this session, This presentation will outline why a multi-asset approach is a particularly compelling option for pension schemes and how you can benefit from a broader spectrum of investment opportunities and diversification which helps to manage risk.

Opportunities in Renewable Energy - How supporting the EU Green Deal can provide attractive returns
-
Achieving our common Decarbonising targets will be vital for our future and Impact investing is at the heart of the solution.
-
The EU Green Deal is one of the strongest commitments to achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement, and provides a framework that supports investors’ interests.
-
Less volatile energy prices can only be achieved through further generating capability from Renewable sources, which can still prove attractive for investment returns.
-
Despite the continuing strong interest in investing in Renewables, this presentation will set out how it is still possible to implement a diversified strategy which can achieve attractive risk adjusted returns

Session 4 – A Focus on the ‘S’ in ESG and Pension Fund Perspective
Independent Consultant & Economist
A Focus on the 'S' in ESG
This talk will examine the implications of the Ukraine conflict for pension schemes in general and ESG aspects in particular. I will consider how and why ESG is being forced to change, when is ‘ESG’ different to ‘ESG’, why there is too much emphasis on G, the wrong emphasis on E, and not enough emphasis on S. My conclusion is that schemes need to ask ‘Why’ more frequently.
