David Purdue, CFA is the Chief Economist for the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA). David joined the NTMA Economics team in 2014 working on enhancing the NTMA’s investor profile and presence in sovereign bond markets. In May 2021, he was appointed Chief Economist. Prior to the NTMA, David worked in the Monetary Policy Division at the Central Bank of Ireland. David graduated from Trinity College Dublin with an undergraduate degree in Economics and Maths in 2009. This was followed by completion of a Masters degree in Economics (MSc.), also from Trinity College.
