Frank Curtiss
Chair of Trustees
ICSA Pension and Assurance Scheme
Frank is the current chair of trustees of the ICSA Pension and Assurance Scheme, the DB legacy scheme of the Chartered Governance Institute, and is an experienced pension fund trustee having served as a chairman of trustees of the National Association of Clubs for Young People Pension and Assurance Scheme from 2010 to until buyout in 2015 and as a trustee of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants Pension & Assurance Scheme from 2012 to 2018. Since retiring from his role as Head of Corporate Governance at RPMI Railpen Investments in April 2016 after nearly 26 years at the Railway Pension Funds, Frank has been increasingly active in various non-executive roles at the Chartered Governance Institute (previously known as ICSA) including serving as UK President from 2015-2017 and currently chairs its Investment Committee and the Chartered Secretaries Charitable Trust. He also has a long standing interest in audit, accounting and corporate reporting issues. He is a strong supporter of integrated reporting and has been an IIRC Ambassador since 2016. He is an independent member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Royal Society of Arts since his appointment in April 2018. He has been a member of the Advisory Council of the Occupational Pensions Defence Union (OPDU) since its formation in 1998 having served as a founding member of the original OPDU steering group from 1996-98. Frank graduated from University College London with a BA degree in English in 1982 and is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) and and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
