Hugh acts as Professional Trustee, representing Capital Cranfield, on a wide range of trustee boards. These cover family businesses, private and public companies, private equity and not for profit organisations. Asset sizes vary from £10m to in excess of £500m. He has a deep understanding of pension scheme management, from day to day operations to high level strategy. His particular specialisms are in understanding financial risk and how this can be addressed effectively through investment strategy. His focus is on creating sound long term structures. Before taking on the role as Professional Trustee, Hugh was a Scheme Actuary and lead adviser with over 25 years’ experience advising trustees and scheme sponsors. Hugh is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
