Ian recently joined Law Debenture’s Pegasus team which provides a fully outsourced pension executive, now including investment capability. Prior to joining Pegasus, he was CIO of some of the largest pension schemes in the UK, both DB and DC. These included the DB and DC staff schemes for the Lloyds Banking Group, Aviva and the PPF (DB only). He also spent time at Avida as a Senior Adviser on investment governance. As an investment executive, Ian’s philosophy is to recruit quality people from diverse backgrounds, develop their potential and empower his team. This approach underpinned a strong track record of investment outperformance, improvements in funding (or member outcomes in DC), whilst keeping tight control of asset management and advisory costs.
