Jens van Egmond, CFA, is Head of European LDI Client Portfolio Management at BlackRock. Jens leads the team responsible for the design, performance and ongoing development of Euro LDI investment solutions across the fixed income risk spectrum. The team delivers the capabilities and expertise of the Global Fixed Income platform and the wider BlackRock organisation, providing solutions that encompass client specific requirements and capture market opportunities. Jens is also a member of the EMEA LDI Leadership Group. In addition, Jens serves as Trustee of Sportfondsen pension fund in the Netherlands and has been a member of several non-profit boards in the financial industry. Prior to joining the firm Jens was Manager DC at Cardano UK, where he developed a proposition for applying DB investment technology to individual pensions (DC). Jens started his career at Cardano Netherlands, where he advised pension funds on strategic risk management, LDI and derivatives. Jens holds two MSc Degrees from Tilburg University and an MSc Degree from the University of Amsterdam. He is also a certified Risk Manager for Financial Institutions (RMFI) and a CFA charter holder.
