Maurits is a senior advisor responsible investment at PGGM with a focus on climate change. He is involved in: i) developing a net 2050 strategy for PGGM and its clients, ii) creating policies to deal with climate risks and iii) fulfilling the obligations related to the Dutch Climate Commitment. In addition, he supports PGGM’s representative in the Platform on Sustainable Finance, which is developing the EU Taxonomy for sustainable activities. Next to his job at PGGM, Maurits works one day per week - on a freelance basis - for the Dutch Fund and Asset Management Association.

Before joining PGGM, Maurits worked as a sell side equity analyst for ABN AMRO and Kempen & Co with focus on technology, media and telecom. He also acted as head of Dutch equity research at Kepler-Cheuvreux. He studied Business Administration at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and is a CFA Charterholder
