Melville has 20-plus years of experience as a City of London law firm partner. In addition to his roles at Melville Rodrigues Consulting and the Social Market Foundation, Melville is Head of Real Estate Advisory at Apex Group, a global financial services provider. His practice has focused on the launch and operation of investment funds in the UK and internationally, as well as UK real estate transactions, advising clients including UK and international pension schemes and other institutional investors. He maintains an active role in UK and European real estate industry associations, representing them on legal, regulatory and tax matters. Current projects include being the chief architect and lead advocate of the UK Professional Investor Fund and campaigns with a levelling-up agenda to attract institutional capital. Melville is a regular press contributor. Throughout his career, Melville has been – and continues to be – an enthusiastic advocate of industry thought-leadership as well as environmental, social and governance initiatives. He also combines his roles with honorary positions for think tanks (including the Social Market Foundation) and social impact non-for-profit organisations.
