Nita came to pensions relatively late having started life as a litigation lawyer. She has been a trustee since 2002 and took her first independent trustee appointment in 2005. Nita has acted as a trustee for a wide variety of pension schemes, both DB and DC and chair a number of pension schemes and investment committees and is familiar with the challenges facing most trustee boards around funding, investment and covenant. She is a qualified CEDR mediator which equips her in her negotiations with both sponsoring employers and trustee boards. Nita holds the PMI Certificate in pension trusteeship and is an Accredited Professional Pension Trustee. She chairs the Council of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees, the body responsible for Professional Trustee Standards and for the accreditation of Professional Trustees.
