Steen is an Advisor to LB Forsikring. He also works as an independent consultant to Pavilion Alternatives Group (merged with Altius Associates Ltd.) as Nordic Adviser along with being chairman of IWC (International Woodland Company A/S) who advises institutional investors on international forestry investments. He also has a relationship with Swedish firm Intervalor AB, who markets international asset managers in the Nordics, and sits on the board of some smaller Danish companies. Prior to this from 2001-2007 he worked for Altius Associates as Partner and Nordic Representative, and from 1985-2001 he was CIO in the Danish pension fund DIP. He holds a Master of Science in Economics from Copenhagen University in 1984.
