Tiina Helenius is Chief Economist at Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company. She specializes in Nordic and global economic cycles, as well as financial market trends. She has more than 20 years of experience at Svenska Handelsbanken, where she served for 16 years as Chief Economist for Finland. Helenius is responsible for Elo’s macroeconomic analysis and communicates the company’s views widely in the Finnish media. She holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Vaasa and the University of Iowa in the United States, where she studied as a Fulbright Scholar.
