Tom has worked at HSBC Asset Management for over 2 years and previously spent 16 years within HSBC’s mid-market leveraged finance business where he was a Regional Head covering the North of England. He has accumulated a great deal of experience having successfully deployed over GBP 2.4bn into 94 transactions. Over the course of his career Tom has developed strong relationships with private equity sponsors, advisers and other lenders.

Tom is the portfolio manager for HSBC’s Senior UK Direct Lending Fund. He also sits on the investment committee for Infrastructure Debt and chairs the Direct Lending Investment Committee. Tom graduated from Durham University with a BSc Hons in Geography and also holds a BA Hons from UMIST in Banking & Finance.
