Charlotte Strunk Hansen

As a board member at Aarhus University Research Foundation her focus is to advise the investment committee. She was Head of Portfolio Construction and Investment Risk at Velliv Pension and Life insurance, Copenhagen, 2020-2022. In this role, she was a member of the investment committee and instrumental in implementing a risk-based investment process. Prior to this she was Head of Solutions at Danske Bank Asset Management, Copenhagen, where she was responsible for the balanced portfolios. Charlotte Strunk Hansen has so far spent most of her career in New York. She was an Executive Director and Lead Model Manager for Alternatives and Wealth Management at J.P. Morgan, New York. Before J.P. Morgan, she worked for 8 years at Platinum Grove Asset Management, New York, a hedge fund founded by Nobel Laureate Myron Scholes and Chi-fu Huang. There she managed several quantitative trading strategies and was part of the team that launched a new multi-strategy fund. Prior to joining the financial industry Charlotte was an Assistant Professor of Finance for 4 years at the Zicklin School of Business, City University, New York. During this time, she also worked as a Consultant for the volatility hedge fund J.D. Capital, New York.
Charlotte Strunk Hansen has a Ph.D. in Finance and has studied at the University of Aarhus, Yale University, and New York University. She has published numerous articles in academic journals including Reviews of Derivatives Research and the European Journal of Finance.
