The pensions sector is entering a period of fundamental transformation. In this high-level opening session, leading voices from government, The Pensions Regulator (TPR), master trusts, corporate schemes, LGPS and the PPF come together for a candid conversation about what lies ahead.
Short presentations followed by an interactive panel discussion will cover:
• The practical realities of consolidation and pooling
• A general legal update, including pertinent developments from the Pensions Schemes Bill impacting DB, DC and LGPS Schemes

Session 3: Investing in the UK – Where Are the Opportunities?
As pension funds are called upon to invest more into the UK economy, what are the risks, opportunities, and barriers? This session explores:
• Identifying viable UK investment opportunities without compromising returns
• Productive finance: what’s investible and what’s not
• Are there enough UK assets to meet industry-wide commitment?
• Achieving real social impact through pension capital
• How DB, DC, and LGPS schemes are using alts to diversify and de-risk
• How to manage liquidity with higher alts allocations
• Fee structures under scrutiny: how to assess value for money
Cost
The conference is by invitation only for pension funds and other institutional investors and we welcome new attendees from these investors. Therefore if you are not already receiving an invitation please contact us. A limited number of Complimentary invitations are available to genuine pension fund representatives (executives and trustees) and other approved institutional investors. However, to ensure we have room for as many funds as possible, we have to limit free places to 3 attendees per approved organisation thereafter a reduced rate fee is payable per delegate. Furthermore, SPS always reserves the right of admission (free or paid) and our decision is final.
