Fiona James is the Regulatory Theme Lead for Consolidation and Emerging Models, which is part of the Market Oversight Team at The Pensions Regulator. She was a pensions lawyer for 25 years, working at TPR from 2012 to 2024 where she was Head of Legal Services in her final three years, and also in private practice. Having rejoined TPR in July 2025, her current role leads a team that focusses on innovation in relation to DB schemes’ end games, authorisation of MT and CDC schemes, and assessment and supervision of Superfunds.
