John is the Head of Structured Securities at BNP Paribas Asset Management, and is responsible for setting strategy, generating alpha ideas, and risk budgeting for the firm’s structured securities portfolios as well as the securitized portion of multi-sector portfolios. John joined FFTW, a predecessor of BNP Paribas Asset Management, in 1998 and is based in New York.
Prior to his current role, John was the Head of the MBS, ABS, and Structured Finance Teams, and the Senior Portfolio Manager for all the firm’s structured securities portfolios. His market responsibilities are focused on fixed-rate CMOs and CMO derivatives. John was previously a Limited Partner at Atlantic Portfolio Analytics and Management (APAM), where he traded mortgage-backed securities and agency CMOs. Prior to joining APAM, John was a Senior Vice President in charge of secondary marketing for the Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation.
John has 35 years of investment experience. He holds an MBA in Finance from New York University and a BA in Mathematical Economics from Colgate University. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Standing Tall School, a school in New York City for children with special needs. He is also a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and is a CFA Charterholder.
