Koen de Reus is Head of Client Servicing, Climate Scenarios & Sustainability at Ortec Finance. He leads a team of climate risk professionals and advises a broad range of financial institutions on integrating climate considerations into investment processes. His work focuses on helping investors assess, monitor, and manage climate-related risks and opportunities through quantitative analytics and scenario-based insights.
Before taking on his current leadership role in Climate Scenarios & Sustainability in 2024, Koen spent ten years advising some of the UK's largest pension schemes on Asset Liability Management (ALM), Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), and risk management using stochastic scenario analysis. This background provides a strong foundation for helping institutional investors understand the potential implications of climate change for long-term investment strategy, risk assessment, and portfolio resilience.
Koen holds a Master's degree in Physics from Leiden University and is a CFA Charter holder.
