Mark has been employed in pension investment activities for over 35 years. His early career involved 24 years at Prudential/M&G where he undertook a variety of pension investment related roles such as equity fund manager, Head of Research and Investment Director. While there he was also a Trustee of the Prudential Staff Pension Scheme and the first Chair of its DC Committee. Subsequently, he spent over 8 years as the Chief Investment Officer of the HSBC UK Pension Scheme; one of the largest schemes in the UK with both DB and DC sections. There he designed and implemented the long-term DB de-risking strategy and market leading climate change strategies for the DC section. He is now employed by several pension schemes in the UK as either a Trustee Chair or as an Investment Committee member. The schemes include Lloyds Banking Group Schemes, the M&G Scheme and the UBS UK Scheme.
