Chris started his career with WTW in Belgium in 1996. From May 1997 until May 1999, Chris has worked at WTW in The Netherlands as an actuary. In July 1999, he re-joined the WTW Retirement team in Zaventem. Chris is Senior Director Consulting Services in the Belgian Retirement team. He is also a member of the Retirement leadership team in Belgium.
Chris is account manager for Belgian based multinational organizations and has experience in all aspects of benefits consulting with a specialization in investment studies. He has 29 years of relevant experience in defining investment strategies (ALM and risk budgeting exercises) for large pension funds. Chris also has significant experience in portfolio construction, manager selection and performance / risk measurement. He leads several client assignments in the areas of international accounting standards, funding and local minimum funding reporting, including plan designs. He is the representative of the actuarial function and/or the risk manager function for several pension funds.
He has a master's degree as Commercial Engineer and in Actuarial Sciences from the KU Leuven (Catholic University of Leuven) and a Master's Degree in Tax Management. Chris is a fully qualified member of the Institute of Actuaries in Belgium (IA|BE) and has been accredited by the FSMA (control authorities for pension funds).
