Emma Danforth is a partner at global law firm A&O Shearman. She specialises in asset management, focusing on the structuring and establishment of funds. She has woven social impact into every stage of her career, starting as a junior lawyer giving time to legal aid clinics, where she saw the impact of helping people very directly. More recently, Emma has become one of the firm’s global social impact partners, focusing on inspiring more people to get involved in giving their time to creating a lasting social impact. She believes that giving time benefits our local communities but that those giving it gain too, both in terms of skills and personal satisfaction. She sits on the A&O Shearman Foundation Board and its London grants committee, helping to ensure support for its local communities. She has been a trustee of several charities and is currently trustee of City Harvest UK
