Frank Meijer, PhD, is the head of Alternative Fixed Income at Aegon Asset Management. Asset backed securities and all investments in Private Markets / Direct Lending, such as Mortgage Loans, Consumer loans, Insurance Wrapped Loans, Corporate Private Placements, and Direct SME lending forms part of the Alternative Fixed Income platform. He is also a permanent guest lecturer at the Amsterdam VU University. Prior to his current role, he was responsible for the Quant Group and he set up the Structured Credit Desk at the firm. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at ABN AMRO in the Credit Risk Modelling & Product department. Frank has been in the industry since 2000 and he joined the firm in 2005. He holds an MSc in Physics, cum laude, from the University of Groningen and a PhD in Physics from Delft University of Technology.
