John has been involved with Pensions on the employee side since 1983. He chaired the ICI Standing Committee from 1987 to 1993. In 1993 ICI demerged to form Zeneca and John was invited to become a Trustee Director of Zeneca, which then merged with Astra to form AstraZeneca. In 2001, AZ’s Agrochemical business was merged with Norvatis Agrochemicals to form Syngenta, and he was invited to continue his role. John has been a Trustee Director for over 25 years. John has been a member of Audit, Administration and Investment committees of all companies and he is currently on the Investment Committee of Syngenta.
