Matthias Lomas

Engagement Director – Investment

Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation

Matt Lomas is Director of Engagement of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation's endowment. He engages with fund managers and directly with corporates to improve the sustainability of the endowment's portfolio. The £1.1 billion multi-asset class endowment has a dual mandate of financial returns and alignment with its health mission and responsible investment goals. Key areas of focus are health, inequality, climate change and nature. The endowment also has a sizeable allocation to impact investing funds.
 
Before working at Guy's, Matt worked as an Impact Strategist at Tiger Hill Capital. He started his career in emerging markets research. This included as a consultant at Control Risks where he advised multinational companies on how to manage risk when investing and operating in various emerging markets.
