Nemashe Sivayogan is the Head of Treasury and Pension at London Borough of Merton. Nemashe is responsible for looking after the £950m Pension Fund and the Treasury balance of £275m. In addition to Treasury and Pensions Nemashe also looks after the Council’s as cash and banking, insurance etc.
Nemashe is a qualified Accountant, holding an associate membership with Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Nemashe has more 25 years of experience in accounting and investment management and the last twenty years she was working in the local government where she specialist pension fund investment management, accounting, and governance.
Nemashe is also part of the Scheme Advisory Board’s Reporting and compliance committee where she is helping with the accounting and audit issues facing the Local Government Pension Funds.
