Roel is a advisor at Cardano. He is part of the client team in the Netherlands, where he helps pension funds to manage their financial risks and navigate the pension transition. Roel also works part time at TIAS Business School, where he is the academic director of the Netspar Pension Innovation programme. Before joining Cardano, Roel worked in the public sector, including the Dutch Central Bank and the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs. Roel holds a master’s degree (cum laude) in financial econometrics from Tilburg University, as well as a PhD in Finance from the same institution. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania.
