Robin Ellison
Chairman
Cambridge Colleges Pension Fund
Robin Ellison is a solicitor specialising in pensions and regulation. He works with a wide variety of UK and international asset managers in relation to regulation and product design. He also practices as a mediator, and is Chairman of the College of Lawmakers.
Books include Red Tape: managing excess in law, regulation and the courts (Cambridge University Press), Pensions Law (4 vols) (Sweet & Maxwell) and Pension Fund Investment Law (Bloomsbury Professional). His new book, Rulemaking, due this year, is intended as a practical guide for regulators and lawmakers. The PMI is publishing the eighth edition of the Pensions Trustees Handbook later this year and he writes a monthly column in Professional Pensions.
He is Visiting Professor in Pensions Law and Economics at Bayes Business School, City, University of London, is trustee of a number of pension plans both in the UK and overseas and was awarded the PMI Diploma in Pension Trusteeship in 2021.
