We have been expecting you, Mr Bond!
Elevated inflation and an aggressive monetary policy response created a sharp correction in market rates, together with increased macroeconomic uncertainty and market volatility. Looking ahead, we believe that the macro backdrop will stabilize and with improved valuations, it may be time to reconsider public fixed income as an attractive asset class. This session will consider key fixed income themes, including valuation opportunities, the need for active management and the macro regime transition.
Managing Director
J P Morgan Asset Management
Your bond portfolio should see the world
The sell-off in duration over the last year has created pockets of opportunity in the bond market and with Central Banks nearing the end of their hiking cycles and a possible recession on the horizon, bond markets are back in the spotlight. Myles will discuss the current macroeconomic backdrop and focus on how he is thinking about portfolio construction in the present market context.
